Sledding, Thai Style

The weekend before Christmas I went up to Lampang to do some Christmas festivities with other Peace Corps Volunteers. We baked cookies, listened to Christmas music, and ate lots of good holiday favorites. The coolest thing we did was go sledding. You may ask, well how did you do that if there is no snow in Thailand? Well, in Lampang they have this great hill that is very steep and covered in grass. The thing to do is take a cardboard box, position your self on it and slide on down the hill. So no, its not exactly like sledding, but its the next best thing and it sure was a lot of fun!

Sounds like you really enjoyed the Christmas festivities, what kind of cookies did you bake and where did you find all of the cardboard, sounds like something you would have done down at OU although there you used dining room trays!!!
Just glad you had fun and enjoyed the holidays.

Looks like fun. That's how we used to "sled" in Houston when we were kids too! HA HA HA
