The Gibbon Experience, Laos 2

These are pictures from inside the treehouse. It actually had plumbing! There was a squat toilet, shower, and several different sinks with water that is pumped up into the tree house. The water comes from a spring and is so clean that you can actually drink it with out purifying it first. This was so awesome for me as I have spent the past two years drinking all of my water from bottles. The bathroom in this treehouse was the coolest ever! Since there were no walls or windows there was just this beautiful wide open view of the jungle and mountains. It was so weird to be naked showering hundreds of meters up looking at this amazing view! For meals they zip lined food into the treehouse. They even zip lined hot tea in. It was so funny to see a guy zip lining into the house with a big kettle of tea. Talk about tea time! There was also a big chest of food in the tree house, for when we got hungry, full of nuts, bread, and Lao sweets. There was no electricity inside, so we just used candles for light. When it was time to sleep we all slept on mattresses and had blankets and mosquito nets covering us. It is really cold that far north right now, so needless to say we were all bundled up so that we could go to sleep.
